About the Ministry
Dr Mohammad Ihsan – Minister for Extra-Regional Affairs
Dr M. Ihsan was appointed Minister for Extra-Regional Affairs in the unified cabinet on 7th May 2006. Born in Zakho, he studied English literature until BA, then he obtained a High Diploma in
Information Technology. He pursued his cursus in international politics and diplomacy (MA) in UK and in 2001 he became a doctor in International Relations.
He was engaged very young in Peshmerga resistance afterwards he exiled in UK, where he worked as a lawyer with Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, and in meantime he collaborated with the Indictment Committee for a future international trial of Saddam Husein who was still in power. » more
